Aaron "Big A" Middlebrook

Aaron DeWayne Middlebrook was born on December 9, 1967, to the union of Herman and Katie Ester Hall Middlebrook in Mason, Tennessee.

Known to family and friends as “Big A", Aaron received his education through the Shelby County School District and spent his high school years at Northside. Gifted with an entrepreneurial spirit, he founded Middlebrook Cleaning Service and later continued his hardworking legacy as a truck driver for the City of Memphis until his retirement.

 In his moments of leisure, Aaron enjoyed life’s simple comforts—watching TV with a donut and a cold Coke nearby. He was known as one of the coolest jokesters, carrying a lighthearted spirit that brought joy to everyone around him. His love, laughter, and presence will forever be celebrated by those who knew him. 

Aaron was the proud father of a blended family of five children whom he loved beyond measure: Jazzima Toliver of Jackson; Presley Azevedo of Memphis; Jamia Toliver of Jackson; and Brittany Azevedo and Lyndsey Azevedo, both of Memphis. He was honored to be the grandfather of ten grandchildren and two great‑grandchildren. 

He was also a beloved brother to Sheila Middlebrook, Dominique Middlebrook, Paul (Shelia) Middlebrook, Marcus Middlebrook, all of Memphis, and Ricky (TaWanda) Anderson of Mason. He was preceded in death by his sisters Tammy Middlebrook and Patria Middlebrook. Aaron was a cherished nephew and a devoted uncle to a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

 On August 20, 2026, Aaron DeWayne Middlebrook made his earthly departure. As the family reflects on his life and legacy, they humbly solicit your continued prayers for hope, strength, and encouragement in the days ahead.
