Anthony Louis Montague was born on October 18, 1964, in Mason, Tennessee, to the union of James and Georgia Frost Montague.

At an early age, Anthony accepted Christ and was baptized at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, where he began his spiritual journey. He was educated in the Tipton County School District.

Anthony was previously employed at Rapac (formerly Ring Can) in Oakland, TN, and most recently worked as a Direct Support Professional at Cottonwood Industries.

In his leisure time, Anthony enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and spending time with friends—often simply "hanging with the guys."

On August 20, 2025, Anthony's earthly journey came to a peaceful close at Methodist Hospital North in Memphis, Tennessee.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his four children: Anthony Williams and Quan Montague, both of Memphis, TN; Tiffany Montague of Oakland, TN; and Skyler Keath of Somerville, TN. He is also survived by three stepchildren: Stephanie Powell of Memphis, TN; Monica Jones of Alamo, TN; and Lisa Moore of Bells, TN.

In addition, Anthony is remembered by three sisters: Mary (Wilbert) Terry, Gloria Wakefield, and Naomi Johnson—all of Mason, TN; along with a host of  nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.
