Augusta Mason was born May 28,1923, to the union of John and Fannie Harris Mason. She received her education from the Fayette County School

District where she attended Fayette County Training School. Augusta was a faithful servant of Poplar Springs M.B. Church with the Usher and

Mothers' Board Ministry. In 1945, she was blessed to find love and later wed Paul Isaiah Douglas, Sr. This union was blessed to share over 26

years of marital bliss and 7 children.

On the 21st day of August 2024, Augusta Mason Douglas made her departure at her residence in Mason, TN. In addition to her children, she leaves

to celebrate her life 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Augusta is preceded in death by 2 children- Shirley Douglas Green and Eddie L. Douglas; 6 siblings- James

Mason, Everlena Shaw, Geraldine Jackson, Sylvester Mason, Mary Middlebrooks and "Buster" Mason.
