Carolyn Sue Albright was born in Zanesville, Ohio on October 20, 1950, to the union of Edward Raymond Albright and Helen L. Buskirk Albright. She received her education in Ohio, where she graduated and later advanced her studies in pursuit of her passion for cosmetology. Gifted with an entrepreneurial spirit and a heart for service, Carolyn devoted herself to her craft, consistently extending care and kindness to those she served. Carolyn met and later Stewart Spriggs, Jr. and their union was blessed with one son, Stewart “Duke” Spriggs, III of Bainbridge, Ohio. She was later blessed to find love again and entered into marriage with Dale Patterson, who preceded her in death. In 2019, Carolyn made Tennessee her home and place of retirement. She embraced the serenity of country living and found joy in thrift shopping, documentaries, and biblical studies—pastimes that enriched her days and reflected her thoughtful nature. Carolyn Sue Patterson peacefully concluded her earthly journey on August 17, 2026, at her residence in Munford, Tennessee. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Stewart “Duke” Spriggs; her sister, Linda Louise Lenart of Columbus, Ohio; and her extended family: Gwendolyn Kilpatrick, Maria Fayne, Kendra Kilpatrick (affectionately known as “the nurse”), Rob, her heart adopted “grandson” JJ, and “BJ” Roberlyn Evans. Preceding her in death are her parents and one brother, Raymond Edward Albright. Her life, her love, and her gentle spirit will be remembered with deep affection by all who knew her.
