The beautiful journey of Clara Elizabeth Henderson began in Somerville, TN, where she was born to Dorothy B. Harvey Douglas of Somerville and the late Robert Lee Henderson. From an early age, she embraced Christ as her Savior and was baptized at Wray's Chapel MB Church in Somerville, TN.
Clara pursued her education within the Fayette County School District, proudly graduating from Fayette Ware High School. Throughout her lifetime, she devoted herself to various roles across several companies, including Vollrath, Ring Can, Palmer Funeral Home, and Longtown Restaurant. Her career ultimately concluded at Personal Care in Covington, TN.
Those fortunate enough to know Clara will remember her as one of the most genuine souls they ever encountered. Her demeanor, often firm, was balanced by an infectious smile and laughter that could brighten any room. She had a deep love for the outdoors and landscaping, earning the affectionate nickname "Mrs. Fix It" for her remarkable ability to repair almost anything.
With unwavering faith and resilience, Clara fought a good fight until the very end. On the morning of May 3rd, 2025, she peacefully answered her call and slipped away into eternal rest.
She leaves behind her devoted mother, Dorothy B. Harvey Douglas of Somerville, TN; three children-LaQuittia (Reginald) Nelson of Oakland, TN; Marquis L. Williams of Somerville, TN and Shunta E. Williams of Stanton, TN
and two cherished "special daughters": Tamekia Hall of Atoka, TN and Candice Williams of Covington, TN.
Her loving siblings Dorothy Dickerson and Leatha (Anthony) Taylor, both of Somerville, TN,
Rosetta Bowers of Oakland, TN; Marvin Henderson, Elder Nathaniel (Carolyn) Henderson, Sr., Marshal Henderson, and Willie Frank Henderson, all of Somerville, TN; Robert Louis Henderson, Thomas (Annette) Johnson, and Larry (Stephanie) Henderson, all of Memphis, TN and Anthony Britton of Stanton, TN.

he was also blessed with six precious grandchildren:
Lakayjue Seaberry, Markayla Seaberry, Jemarkis Zanders, Mariah Nelson, Jamarion Nelson, and Javion Nelson, as well as one adored great-grandchild, Makhari Gowdy.
Her legacy will forever live on in the hearts of her dear friends, Willie Adams and Alvera Tirado, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who loved her dearly.
In addition to her father and stepmother- Dorothy Henderson, Clara joins in eternal rest three siblings
Robert George (Nancy) Henderson, Arthur Henderson, and Frederick Henderson; her grandparents, Richard Frank (Clara Mae Blade) Harvey and George (Willie B.) Henderson, as well as her great-grandparents, Freeman (Clara Anna Peyton) Blade.
Clara's kindness, love, and unwavering faith will continue to shine through those who were blessed to have known her.
