Clarence was united in holy matrimony to Mae Florence Vanpelt Davis who preceded him in death. This union was blessed with a blended family of 6 children: Alisa Owens of Stanton, TN; Anthony Davis of Somerville, TN: Tyree (Shay) Stewart of Denver CO; Cedric Harvey and Christopher M. Davis both of Moscow, TN; and Shiquita (Timothy) Davis of Lakeland, TN.

Clarence, known as "Dank" by family and friends was a self employed master carpenter who served Somerville and the surrounding counties.  He received his education from the Fayette County School District.

In addition to his children, he leaves to celebrate his life 3 siblings- Ernestine (*the late Charles) Brewer of Mason, TN; Chester (Mary) Davis, Sr. of Somerville, TN and Helen McGee of Michigan; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and  a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Along with his parents and wife, preceding him in death includes 8 siblings- Geartha (David) Nothern, Elvin (Vivian) Davis, Jr., Elien (Otis) Moore, Dorothy (J.C.) Williams, Alma Wilson, Oscar (Elnora) Davis, William Blackwell and Freddy Davis.
