Cobie Elliott Lee

Cobie Elliott Lee was born on May 26, 1951, in Somerville, Tennessee, to the union of Raleigh and Chaney Chandler Lee. 

Reared in a home grounded in faith, Cobie began his spiritual journey at an early age. He was baptized at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, where his faith was nurtured throughout his life. 

Cobie received his education through the Fayette County School District and was a proud graduate of Fayette-Ware High School. 

His career was marked by hard work, dedication, and commitment. Cobie concluded his professional career with Ferrell Paving, where he faithfully served as a foreman for 25 years. His years of service reflected the strong work ethic and dependability that those who knew him admired. 

In his leisure time, Cobie enjoyed many of life’s simple pleasures. He had a special love for sports, particularly football, and enjoyed listening to music. He also had a fondness for Western television shows—and he did not simply watch them; he embraced the Western style in the way he dressed. For many who knew him, that distinctive Western attire became a trademark of his personality and a part of what made Cobie uniquely Cobie.

 At his residence in Somerville, Tennessee, Cobie Elliott Lee peacefully made his earthly transition on September 20, 2026. He leaves to cherish and celebrate his memory his devoted and caring wife, Reshell Williams Lee, and his four children: Tomeica Smith (Bryan) Hayes, Shanika D. Lee, Aashia Tindall and Tatyana LeeCobie was the brother of four siblings: Hattie Jean Williams; Lois (Don) Bailey; the late Raleigh Lee, Jr.; and Michael Lee. 

He also leaves a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish the memories of his life, his love, his kindness, and the impact he made on those around him.
