Dorthular Louise Hall was born in Stanton, TN to Will Howard Johnson and Arenthia Louise Hall on December 4, 1964.   She received Christ as her personal Savior and Lord and it was confirmed through baptism.

Known as "Doll" by family and friends, she received her education from the Tipton County School District where she attended Tabernacle School and she later transitioned to Shelby County where she was a 1983 graduate of  Central High School.

"Doll" met  Alanda Taylor and was blessed to become the mother of  3 sons:  Carlos, Cory and CoDarrell.  She located to Detroit Michigan in 2010 and it was there that she met "the love of her life", Larry Hicks.  The couple wed on July 16, 2011.

While residing in Michigan , "Doll" was employed with Rainbow Fashion as a Customer Service Representative. After returning to Tennessee, she continued to live life to the fullest inspite of the unhealthy challenges that she would encounter.

Her love, life and spirit will forever remain in the life of her devoted husband Larry Hicks; her sons- Carlos Hall, Cory Hall and CorDarrell Hall; 21 grandchildren;  Siblings- Patricia Johnson, Vandella (James) Taylor, Charles Beard, Johnnie Beard, Jr. and Tim Johnson;  "children that she loved as her own" Sheba Taylor and DeWayne Taylor; goddaughter- Tara Crosby, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, 3 siblings preceded her in death:  Will "Buck"Howard Johnson, Jr., Sandra Matthews and  Jerry "Tojo" Hall.
