It was Thursday June 27, 1963 that Ellis, Sr. and Almer Dowell Reliford embraced their son, Ellis Reliford, Jr. as his parents.  Being reared in a god-fearing home, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and Lord at St. Matthew Baptist Church in Stanton, TN where he was baptized. During his latter years, Ellis joined in fellowship with Greater Fredonia Baptist Church in Mason, TN.

Being a native of Tipton County, he received his education from the Tipton County School District where he was a 1982 graduate of Covington High School.  During his lifetime, Ellis was employed with Jones Manufacturing in Covington, TN and Strategic Partners

Known as "Sunny" by many, Ellis was very sociable and a protector who loved his family unconditionally.  He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and considered himself a "Grill Master".  According to him, his grilling skills were "first to none".

And it was on the 5th of July 2023 at the hour of 5:05 a.m., Ellis Reliford, Jr. Surrendered to his call at his residence in Mason, TN.  His life will be forever celebrated by his 6 children- Alexis Boyd, Fabian Daily, Ashley Tate, Quadreikus Reliford, Jada Reliford, Cordell Jones and a "special daughter" Shenita Leavy Sayers; 5 siblings-Jean Tolbert, Marsha (Grendell) Williams, Linda (Ulas) Craig, William (Doris) Dowell and Troy (Angela) Reliford; 8 grandchildren, aunts, uncles, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, "Partners" and friends that will forever love and hold dear the moments shared.
