Elvis Maclin, "Sr" was born in Somerville, TN to the late James Mickey Maclin and Bobbie Jeanette Maclin.  He received his education from the Fayette County School District..  Known as "Itchy' by family and friends, Elvis served with the  Deacons' Ministry at Central Christian Church in Covington, TN  where he was a faithful member.

During his life time, Elvis was employed with the Tennessee Highway Department for over  10 years. As an "outdoors man" Elvis enjoyed gardening, surrounding himself around his elders to obtain wisdom; He was an outspoken, selfless, jokester who was a joy to be in his presence.  Although he loved his family, his grandchildren was the "apple of his eye".

Our beloved Elvis "Itchy" Maclin, "Sr".  departed this life without warning or a final farewell on April 22, 2025.  He leaves to cherish his life a devoted wife- Jacklin Johnson Maclin;  3 children- LaToya (Michael) Maclin Somerville, Elvis Maclin, Jr. and Talayah Maclin all of Covington, TN; 5 siblings- Tracey (Charles) Rogers, Vesta Cobbs, Shirely Maclin and David (Linda) Maclin all of Mason, TN; Joe (Sam) Maclin of Memphis, TN; 12 grandchildren, aunts, uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents- 4 siblings preceded him in death- Kelly Thompson, Randy (Jessie)  Maclin, January Maclin and  his mother-n-law,  Lillie Johnson
