Jimmy Wayne Holland, 74, born in Covington, TN, to the late Robert and Emma Hall Holland on February 6, 1950. After a lengthy illness, he peacefully passed away on December 25, 2024, at 3:40 a.m. at Magnolia Creek Nursing Home in Covington, TN.
As a young man, Jimmy accepted Christ as his personal Savior and Lord at Smith Grove M B Church in Covington, TN. He received his education from the Tipton County School District where he attended classes in Brighton, TN.
In his 20's, Jimmy moved to Pontiac, Michigan. While residing in Michigan, he worked at Orchard Furniture in Pontiac as a delivery driver. Upon returning to his roots in Tennessee, he became a truck driver for "Mr. Calvin's" in Brighton, TN.
When Jimmy was not working, he enjoyed spending time and making memories with his family, fishing and hunting.
Jimmy was the father of one son David Wayne Tate of California. He also leaves behind to cherish his memories four sisters: Loretta Norfolk, Joyce Ann Holland, and Lavern (Elvis) Tate of Pontiac, MI, and Mary Jean Holland of Covington, TN; five brothers: Robert (Jean) Holland Jr. of Brighton, TN; William Holland of Covington, TN; Jerry (Vickie) Holland of Pontiac, MI; Greg (Betty) Holland of Covington, TN, and Carl (Jeri) Holland of Pontiac, MI; one uncle: James (Lula) Hall of Memphis, TN; two special friends "Rabbit" Jackson and David Weathers along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Arthur Lee Hall, Everette Holland, and George Ervin Holland.
