John was born on September 22, 1966, in Cleveland, Ohio. During his early years, he began his Christian walk at the Church of Christ in Mason, Tennessee. He received his formal education through the Fayette and Tipton County School Districts.
John carried a spirit of adventure throughout his life and nurtured a deep desire to explore new places. His journey led him to several cities, including Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Peoria, Illinois; and Chicago, Illinois, where he worked for Caterpillar and other companies. In every community he joined, John found fellowship and brotherhood through local motorcycle clubs, where he was affectionately known as “Lil John.”
After returning to Mason, Tennessee, John continued his professional path as a Lead Maintenance Technician, serving at various apartment complexes throughout Memphis.
John leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Dorothy Stephens, and his devoted stepfather, Willie Stephens; his son, Terrell Stevens of Memphis, Tennessee; and three siblings—his twin brother Marcus (Linda) Stevens of Memphis, Tennessee; CaTonya Stephens (Wesley) Woodson of Minnesota; and Torshika Stephens (Roy) Woods of Illinois. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Terrell Adrian Jr. and Tyrin Aiden, along with a devoted friend, Trina Steele of Mason, Tennessee.
He is further survived by a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss him deeply.
