Johnny "Jd"
Douglas
Feb 1, 1958 — Jun 15, 2025
Johnny Douglas began his earthly journey on Saturday, February 1, 1958, in Stanton, Tennessee, born to the loving union of Willie Lee Miller Douglas and Zula Woodland Douglas. From the start, Johnny's life was anchored in faith. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at Reeves Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
Affectionately known as "JD," Johnny attended school in the Haywood County School District and graduated from Haywood High School in 1977.
In 1980, Johnny met the love of his life, Annette Hennings— "the apple of his eye." They were united in marriage on July 8, 1989, blending a family of five children: NaKesia Douglas (Jackson, TN), Cornelius Baker (Brownsville, TN), Tammie Poindexter (Covington, TN), LaQuita Campbell (Memphis, TN), and Bernard Campbell (Mason, TN).
Johnny's warmth, laughter, and vibrant presence made him unforgettable. To know him was to love him. He was a devoted husband, a proud father and grandfather, and a steadfast provider who poured love and dedication into his family.
He built a professional career at Rich's Products in Arlington, TN, and was a member of Poplar Spring Lodge #148 in Mason, TN. Johnny's love for sports—especially watching the NBA Playoffs—brought him joy, especially when shared with the people he cherished most.
Johnny faced life's challenges with quiet strength and unshakable faith. On Sunday, June 15, 2025, at 3:37 p.m., he completed his earthly journey.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Annette Hennings Douglas; his children; NaKesia Douglas (Jackson, TN), Cornelius Baker (Brownsville, TN), Tammie Poindexter (Covington, TN), LaQuita Campbell (Memphis, TN), and Bernard Campbell (Mason, TN)
