LaDorn Hawkins Dyson 88, daughter of the late Curtis (Cornelia Tipton) Hawkins, Sr., departed this life on August 2, 2024.  She had a servant's heart and remained a faithful member of Shiloh CME Church where she held many positions throughout the years. She was formerly employed with the Tipton County Board of Education as a Teacher's  Aide, Substitute Teacher and Custodian where she retired in 2005. In 1958,  LaDorn was blessed to find love and wed John Dyson, Sr. From this union four children were born.

LaDorn was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis "Sr" and Cornelia Hawkins; her husband, John Dyson Sr; her daughter Dianne; 6 sisters Mary Francis, Vera Lee, Thelma, Verniece, Louida, Lou Dora; 6 brothers Charlie, James, William Howard, Curtis, Verble, and Nathaniel; and one grandson, Larry Dyson, Jr.

LaDorn leaves to celebrate her life and fond memories two beloved sons Elder John (Valerie) Dyson, Jr.  of Grovetown, GA and Larry Dyson of Covington, TN: One beloved daughter LaGretta Dyson of Covington, TN; two step-daughters Lisa Whitley and Leslie Whitley, and one step-son Barry Whitley; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 brother Rev Billy Hawkins of Gary, IN, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
