On August 27, 2026, Lucy Ann Pittman Taylor answered her call at Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. She fought a good fight, finishing her course with strength, dignity, and unwavering faith.

 Born on August 23, 1947, in Mason, Tennessee, Lucy Ann was the cherished daughter of Archie and Minnie Bolds Pittman. Her spiritual foundation was rooted early at Prospect M.B. Church, where she was baptized and remained a faithful, supportive member throughout her life. 

Affectionately known as “Ann”, she was educated in the Fayette County School District. She later built a long and joyful career at Medegen, serving as a relief operator. Ann lived life boldly and joyfully. She loved talking on the phone, cooking, sharing good food, enjoying fellowship, and gaming. Her personality was direct, honest, and delightfully fun-loving. Her famous phrase — “Run Yo Mouth” — remains a treasured memory among family and friends. 

Among her greatest joys was motherhood. She lovingly raised her children: Sandra Ann Taylor, Arthur Lee Taylor, Larry Gene Taylor, and the late James Earl Taylor.

 Ann was preceded in death by her siblings: Archie Mae Maclin, Elizabeth Parham, Alma Dowell, Lennon Pittman, Sr., Hurskin Brown, and Leon Pittman.

 Her legacy continues through her children; her devoted niece and caregiver, Wilma (Willie) Wilkes; her great niece, KeShunda Pittman; two generations of grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever carry her love in their hearts.
