Nakeisha
Peters
Feb 7, 1977 — Dec 30, 2025
Nakeisha Peters was born in Bolivar, Tennessee, to the union of Jim and Versie Brown Peters. Affectionately known to many as "Keisha Brown," she received her education in the Fayette County and Shelby County School Districts and was a graduate from Bolton High School in Arlington, Tennessee.
Nakeisha later began her career as a CNA with Signature Health Care at the Memphis Rehabilitation Center (formerly NHC Health Care). When she was not working or helping others, Keisha found joy in the simple pleasures of life—cooking, cleaning, traveling, shopping, crafting, and especially reading, which was her greatest passion. Her genuine spirit and caring heart left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
On December 30, 2025, Nakeisha Monavesia Peters peacefully departed this life at her home in Somerville, Tennessee. Cherishing her memory is her devoted confidant, Jewel Williamson of Somerville, TN; her three children, Diamond Williamson, JaFaris Williamson, and Shaheem Douglas, all of Somerville, TN; and her seven siblings: Arthur Prewitt of Somerville, TN, Kevin Prewitt of Grand Junction, TN, Precious Dyson of Covington, TN, Kevin Price, Rollie Peters, and Ryan Peters, all of Whiteville, TN, and Chaddrick Pugh of Bolivar, TN. She also leaves behind four beloved grandchildren, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will continue to honor and celebrate her life.
