Phyllis D. "Puddin" Williams peacefully transitioned on March 12, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital, surrounded by the ones she loved.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Cora Lee Williams, as well as her siblings: Ophelia Boyd, Pearlie Mae Pierson, Joe Brown, Della Grandberry, and Robert Grant Williams.

Phyllis accepted Christ at a young age and was a devoted member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Gallaway, TN. Her faithfulness and dedication endured until her illness.

Known for her patience, thoughtfulness, and nurturing spirit, Phyllis was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, sibling, and friend.

Our beloved Phyllis D. "Puddin" Williams leaves behind to honor her memory: her beloved son, Sherman (Monice) Williams; four grandchildren, Teaira Williams, Marshawn Williams, Shermar Williams, and Jasmine Byrd; and four great-grandchildren, Lauryn Young, Stanley Young, Cornelius Byrd, and Layla Byrd. Phyllis is also survived by nine siblings: Jerry (Vickie) Williams, Donald Williams, Earnest Williams, Beverly Ann Mason, Dorothy Terry (all of Memphis, TN), Mary Hunter (Nashville, TN), Mary Davis (Charles) of Rosemary, TN, Linda Horne (Arlington, TN), and Mae Alice Williams (Arlington, TN). Additionally, she leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
