Known as "Marvell" by most, Wendell Marvell Boyd was born December 2, 1970, to the union of Malcolm L. and Ruby Reliford Boyd in Memphis, Tennessee.

Little did we know that on the 30th day of November 2023 at the hour of 6:40 p.m., the voice that we loved to hear would be silenced. Wendell Marvell Boyd surrendered to his call at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

He leaves to celebrate his life and fond memories: his dear mother, Ruby Boyd; six children, Shanika Maclin, Shannikka Sherrill, Tyronza Boyd, Sydney Cooper and Christian Boyd, and Marquez Rudd; six brothers, Malcolm Boyd, Robbie Boyd, and Derrick Boyd, Marc Jones, LaShun Holland and William (Crystal) Holland; four grandchildren, Khaza Maclin, Jayce Middlebrooks, Kylan Rudd, and Dallis Williams; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, co-workers, and friends.
