The life of Wilbert Craig, Sr. began in Stanton, Tennessee. He was born to the late Andrew Craig, Sr, and Nancy Hayes Craig on December 24, 1935.  He and his late wife, Reola Somerville, were blessed with eleven children: Clara (Maurice) Broome, Emma Craig (George Jones), Mary Craig Hill, Ulas (Linda) Craig, Sr., Reverend Robert (Nomekia) Craig, Darryl (Rosalyn) Craig, LaSandra (Wayne) Thompson, Angela (Troy) Reliford, Travis Craig, and a grandson whom they raised as their own, Keric (Andrea) Craig.

Mr. Craig also leaves three sisters-in-law: Johnnie B Somerville, Opal (Emmit) Moss and Carolyn Oliver; one brother-in-law, Willie (Shirley) Oliver. In addition to his parents and wife, two children Wilbert Craig, Jr. and Melvin Craig; six brothers and 4 sisters, John Craig, Charlie Craig, Osia Craig, Sammy Cody, Andrew Craig, Jr., James Craig, Anna Lou Johnson, Lonnie Mae Richardson, Sarah Craig and Mary Frances Craig all preceded him in death.
