William Henry Adams, Jr.

William Henry Adams, Jr., affectionately known as Henry, was born March 7, 1957, in Covington, Tennessee, to William Henry Adams, Sr. and Vera Lee Pruitt Adams. He peacefully transitioned on May 24, 2026, at Methodist Healthcare in Memphis.

"Henry" accepted Christ at King’s Hill M.B. Church, where he remained a devoted member. He was educated in the Tipton County School District and graduated from Covington High School.

Professionally, the Tipton County Board of Education was his place of employment as a Maintenance Technician. He also built a strong reputation through his own lawn care and construction work.

He leaves to celebrate his life, a daughter, Stephanie S. Adams and granddaughter, Anyah S. Rivers both of Covington, TN; three siblings- Clemenstine (the late Jessie) Hill of Covington, TN; Connie Joyner of Pontiac, MI; and Warren (Linda Diane) Adams of Covington, TN; a "bonus daughter"- Twilla (Pastor James) Powers of Mason, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends will forever celebrate his life, love and laughter that he brought to their lives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Mary Boyd and Thomas L. Adams- (Linda F. Adams) of Covington, TN.
