William "Earl" Humphreys, affectionately known as "Earl," passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2025, at his home in Mason, TN. Surrounded by his loving family, Earl transitioned to his eternal home. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Humphreys Jr., and his daughter, Deonna McNeal.

Earl's faith was rooted in his early acceptance of Christ as his Lord and Savior at Greater Fredonia Baptist Church in Mason, TN. He will be remembered for his loving, caring, and deeply affectionate nature toward everyone he held dear. Earl had a passion for cooking, detailing vehicles, hunting, gardening, and taking peaceful walks through his neighborhood with his loyal dog, Choppa.

Earl leaves behind cherished memories with his devoted mother, Annie Humphreys; his children: Myron Blaine of Memphis, TN, Christopher Barbee of Brownsville, TN, and Jeremy and Jermaine Humphreys of Mason, TN, born during his marriage to Berniece Humphreys; as well as 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his siblings: Carol Patterson of Galloway, TN, Diana (Stanley) Harwell of Elkhart, IN, Thomas Dale Humphreys of Mason, TN, and Lavonyar Douglas of Memphis, TN. A dear sister-friend, Jacqueline Drew of Mason, TN, also holds him close in memory. Earl's legacy extends to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever treasure his presence in their lives.
