Willie L.
Jackson
Sep 30, 1954 — Jul 17, 2024
Willie L. Jackson was born in Stanton, TN to the union of Lillie Mae & Burl Jackson on September 30,1954. He was blessed to find love and later wed Edna Diana Boyd on April 25,1979. Although no children were born to this union, Mr. Jackson inherited 2 "bonus daughters" that he loved and cared for as his very own: Linda Faye (Melvin) Currie of Brownsville, TN and Tabitha Boyd of Stanton, TN. Willie genuinely loved , supported and assisted his wife in rearing these girls.
Mr. Jackson confessed his belief in Christ at a young age at Mt. Zion MB Church where he was later called to serve as Deacon. He served many years as Sunday School Superintendent; Mr. Jackson was a member of Popular Spring Masonic Lodge #148 & also an Eastern star.
Without a doubt, Willie genuinely loved his family and friends. "If he could simply help someone along his life's journey, he would go the extra mile and his living would not be in vain."
Willie was a Haywood High School graduate of the class of 1973. He began employment at an early age at Teknor Apex Haywood Company, in Brownsville TN. It was evident that Willie was an entrepreneur at heart. He founded his own HVAC business "Jackson Refrigeration" in 1991 . He worked both Teknor Apex & Jackson Refrigeration until his health failed. Willie concluded his work journey and retired in 2010.
In addition to "his girls", Willie leaves to cherish three grandchildren: 1) grandson- Webster (Lakesha) Taylor and 2) granddaughters- Flamesha (Shawn) Taylor and Nadia Currie all of Brownsville, TN: six great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, one loyal and committed friend, Jack Oliver, many other relatives, and friends.
Willie was proceeded in death by both of his parents Lillie & Burl Jackson; his wife, Edna Diana Jackson; 3 sisters- Gussie Mae Reed, Rosie Lee Lewis , Hazel Jackson Blair and 1 brother William Jackson Sr.
