Sep 28, 1942 — Dec 14, 2025
Willie B. Taylor was born on September 28, 1942, in Mason, Tennessee, one of thirteen children blessed to the union of LG and Annie B. Taylor. In her youth, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and Lord at Hopewell M.B. Church, where she was baptized. She received her early education at Gailor School in Mason, TN.
Once she met and wed "the love of her life", Robert E. Bernard, Willie became a dedicated member of St. Luke M.B. Church under the leadership of Dr. L. R. Donson and, currently, Dr. Dexter G. Moragne. They shared over 30 beautiful years together until his passing in 1995. Together, they blended a family of six children, and Willie made countless sacrifices to ensure that each of their graduated from high school & knew the Lord.
Affectionately known as "MaB", she was widely loved for her servant's heart. As a member of St. Luke, Willie served in many capacities including a member of the choir ministry, youth Sunday School teacher and she faithfully served as Director of the Culinary Ministry for more than 43 years.
Willie began her professional journey as a dietitian at Frazier School, where she worked for many years. She later pursued nursing, becoming a Certified Clinical Nurse Assistant and serving the Tipton County Health Department for over 25 years. Never one to stop striving, she went on to enroll in cosmetology school and ultimately fulfilled her dream of becoming the owner and operator of Willie's Classic Beauty Salon for 43 years.
Love found Willie again as she wed Eddie "Nip" Wilson in December of 1997.
After a lifetime of faith, service, and perseverance, Willie B. Bernard Wilson fought a good fight of faith until the very end. The final chapter of her earthly journey was written on Sunday, December 14, 2025.
Her life, love, and legacy will forever be cherished by her devoted daughters, who remained faithfully by her side as she transitioned: Carla (Raymond) Claybonand Debbie (Pastor Ferdnando) Bailey. She also loved Kenneth (Odessa) Bernard, Sylvester (Dr. Marye) Bernard, Wanda Faye Clark, Eddie (Danedra) Wilson Jr., and Yvette Talley.
