Yolanda LaCarla Burrell was born on March 23, 1966, in Covington, Tennessee, to Dennis Hill and Ida Lee Burrell. She peacefully departed this life on September 27, 2026, at her residence in Covington, Tennessee.
Yolanda received her education through the Tipton County School District and was a proud 1984 graduate of Covington High School. She continued her education and earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Strayer University. Her professional career included serving as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Jackson General Hospital.
In 1986, Yolanda dedicated her life to God and became a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
At a young age, Yolanda entered into marriage with Lawrence Boyce of Mason, Tennessee. Their union was blessed with two children, Larenzo Boyce of Atlanta, Georgia, and DeUltra Boyce of Munford, Tennessee. She later found love again and married Levy Buford of Munford, Tennessee. Their union was blessed with a daughter, Ayana Buford of Munford, Tennessee. Her children remained a treasured part of her life and a lasting reflection of the love she held for her family.
Yolanda was one of five siblings. She leaves to cherish her memory her sisters, Arnella (George) Jamison of Rochester Hills, Michigan; Zoreda I. Hill of Atlanta, Georgia; Serfredrick C. Hill (Yvette) of Laurel, Maryland; and she was preceded in death by her brother, Alfred Toliver. Affectionately known as “Ya-Yo” by her grandchildren, Yolanda created many cherished memories with Zolan, Ayden, Kyler, Aubrianna, Draylan, Kendall, Anaya, Ayan, and Chase. They will forever treasure the love, laughter, and special moments they shared with her.
Yolanda also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends who will continue to cherish her memory. Among those who held a special place in her life are Michelle Lemons and sisters - Alice Daily and Susan Guess.
Though her earthly journey has come to an end, Yolanda’s love, laughter, and memories will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
